about the office
Dr. Chan established Treat Dental in 2021. The office was renovated in 2023 to her specific vision and design. Dr. Chan wants the office to feel very comfortable for patients (and staff) - clean, soothing/spa-like vibes, with modern technology and techniques.

We are the first office in Garland to be certified in Guided Biofilm Therapy. Say goodbye to traditional cleanings with uncomfortable scraping and rubber cup polish. Teeth are cleaned with Airflow technology, which is a fine powder/warm water spray. End your tooth spa experience with a warm lavender chamomile towel.

At Treat Dental we prioritize you and do not let insurance reimbursements dictate treatment. There is no "one size fits all" approach here- every patient is an individual with different oral health needs. While we file insurance claims on your behalf and accept reimbursements to reduce your out-of-pocket costs, we do not have deeply discounted contracted rates in-network. Dr. Chan stays an out-of-network provider to allow the office to offer the best technology, dental materials, and personalized care that she can, without compromising on her highly trained team's salaries OR by having to create a very busy overwhelming schedule. Patients are not double booked and you will have time with Dr. Chan, without long waiting times.

Dr. Chan prefers conservative treatment options and will be honest about your needs and what she will be able to offer. Questions are always welcome. We serve as providers and educators for your oral health.

Meet Sarah Chan, DDS
Dr. Chan is a native Texan and has lived in the DFW metroplex all of her life. She grew up in Fort Worth and attended TCU, graduating in 3.5 years with a biology degree and chemistry minor through the Honors College. Dr. Chan then went on to obtain her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Texas A&M University College of Dentistry (formerly Baylor College of Dentistry). She is a current member of the American Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).
Dr. Chan and her husband, Michael, have two sons, an adorable 3 year old named James and a 1 year old, Aiden. Dr. Chan has several interests outside of dentistry; her favorites being travel (although not as much lately) and interior design. When James was under a year old, Dr. Chan and him would come up to the office on Fridays and while he napped, Dr. Chan would tape out different floor plan configurations and draw up mood boards for the office. It had been so joyous to see her vision come to life in 2023.

Dr. Chan's vision of her office includes modern technology and techniques. Traveling to Charleston, SC in 2024, Dr. Chan completed the 3D Printing track at MOD Institute. Here she learned how to use powerful CAD/CAM software (Exocad) to design conservative dental restorations, Smile Design veneers, and dentures. Not only the design, but 3D printing and custom hand-finishing of these restorations. Digital denture design is Dr. Chan's favorite procedure.
